Dungeons

Ruins and relics of people that have once thrived upon the surface of the lands are ubiquitous in Aorthe. In some cases, archaeological study can reveal a cause for the decline of these civilizations, sometimes they seem to disappear overnight. There is still a lot to learn, and the full story of these overlapping histories may never be known. However, there is always motivation to learn more. This gives rise to the profession of the adventurer – people brave or dumb enough to seek out these places and bring back the knowledge they might contain. Often, items of historical value are even more valuable than items of precious materials.
