Theater

Performance art is a very common and well-loved art form in most nations.

    • The De Lorme Theater – In the capital of Pointe-a-la-Hache. the De Lorme Theater hosts a full season of plays and musicals. The most popular sorts of shows involve comedies and dramas involving rags to riches and riches to rags stories. The most popular play bar far has been “Ceasing Absorin the Mighty.” That play has seen a dozen revivals at the De Lorme Theater over the years, and continues to play to sold-out audiences.

There is a public theater company there, but the stage is also used by local musicians, artists and actors between productions. Generally, the troupe like to play minstal shows, musical comedies, and sad dramas. In Volkstaadt, they say if you leave The Ochar, you’ll be crying one way or another – from laughter or saddness. The signature production of The Orchar troupe is a musical with the name “Poop Without a Voice.” I can assure you, it’s not what you think it is.

      The Borealis Amphitheater
      The Illusion Theater
  • Rieno de Arena
    • The Pharaoh’s Tomb – In ancient times, when Ashtesma was still the capital of the Sator dynasty, there was an amphitheater built for the Pharaoh’s entertainment. In his royal box he would sit and performers would either please the pharaoh, or die. Sometimes gladiatorial games would be put on for the pharaoh’s amusement, or criminals would be executed before the crowd. After the sacking of Astura there wasn’t much desire for theater. The people were simply too poor, too broken. However, thanks to a generous donation from the Revelers, and no small amount of work from Almoner Ara Amastacia, the amphitheater was renovated and renamed The Pharaoh’s Tomb. Under direction from Cesaria Bernadette, a troupe has been formed from volunteers within the community. This far, they have performed one and a half seasons of shows, doing their own version of old favorites “Wrong About His Parents” and “Raven On A Day Out,” as well as two original plays – “Jol and Bernadette,” and the definite favorite among the people, “Amunhikhosep! Just a Sneeze.”
    • The Den – An underground tavern and stage. The acts here are usually music, but there is a small troupe of four that will occasionally put on plays that are critical of the Cesaria.
    • The Serenity Concert Hall -
  • Imephosep
    • Amphitheater Amunhikhosef – Shortly after the pharaoh was forced to his secondary palace he ordered the construction of a new amphitheater. It was completed two years later, and was much more grand in scale than the one he’d left behind in Asutra (Ashtesma.) There is no official acting troupe, but instead is the same system as he had before, where slaves are forced to entertain or die, or the shows a pure bloodlust.
